Giving Tuesday: Follow us on Facebook!

12/1/2015

For ‪#‎GivingTuesday‬, throughout the day we will sharing messages of love and generosity from our wonderful supporters on Facebook. We invite you to share your stories with us as well (email: [email protected])! To learn more about our Giving Tuesday Campaign, please visit http://bit.ly/lilysvetfund.
We'll start off with the adoption of our fabulous Tasha...
"Adopting Tasha has been a real boon to my life. I've had many dog companions during my 72 years and after knowing Tasha for less than a month, I'm convinced she embodies the best of their legacies. She amuses: Snapping in vain for the white tip of her looping-to-one-side tail, vocalizing a brief enchanting howl before sitting up and giving a High-Five motion to request a
treat. She lounges with loving companionship. Obviously, I adore her and we're perfect together as senior buddies.

The process of adopting Tasha was what she deserved. I was carefully scrutinized: filled out a pertinent information questionnaire regarding my home and surroundings; had a delightful home visit by Alice Mayn. I was carefully instructed as to her exercise needs, nutrition, and how to accustom her to her new home. She had been lovingly cared for as one of their "bunkhouse pups" by many great volunteers I met while visiting her prior to taking her home. I wholeheartedly encourage anyone looking for a right-match companion to visit Lilly's Legacy Senior Dog Sanctuary."

Meet Sierra!

11/17/2015

Picture
Beautiful Sierra, an English Lab mix, has just arrived at Lily’s Legacy and is a welcomed addition to our pack. She is 7 years old, very healthy and gets along with everyone. She came from a shelter and is very happy to have some open space and quiet. She is just over 66 lbs and has a beautiful coat of fluffy, yellow fur. She is calm and mild-mannered and will make a great companion for some lucky person looking for a very cute pup. Please share!

Update from Pearl

11/13/2015

We love these stories. Sweet Pearl celebrated her 1st anniversary in her forever home ON THE COUCH...exactly where she should be. Thanks mom & dad for the wonderful update!

"We just passed our 1 year anniversary of bringing Pearl home with us. She has grown from a worried, concerned girl to one who is very confident, relaxed (as you can see by the photo below), playful and silly (she has quite a sense of humor!) She has brought so much joy and fun and wildness to our family. Lily's Legacy rocks! Thank you, again, for connecting all of us."

To Honor Those Who Light Up Our Life.....

11/1/2015

Dear Friends,

As the holidays draw near, Lily's Legacy Senior Dog Sanctuary would like to invite you to join us in celebrating our beloved pets. On December 5th we will be lighting luminaries to honor our pets with us and in memory of those who have crossed the rainbow bridge.

For each $20 donation, we will create one luminaria featuring your pet's photo and name. Simply e-mail us your pet's photo, and we will personalize your special luminaria.

We are excited to share photos and videos of the entire process as our wonderful volunteers make and customize your pets' luminaries. We will also be documenting the lighting ceremony so you can share in our journey.

Your 100% tax-deductible donation will help keep our senior dogs healthy and safe while they await their forever home. Payment can be made by Check, Visa, MasterCard or Paypal. Be sure to specify how many luminaries you want, and the name you want written - check out our website on how to donate: http://www.lilyslegacy.org/donatesupport.html

Our pups may have silver faces, but their hearts are pure gold. They need your help. YOU make it possible for us to save these deserving senior dogs. All of us at Lily's Legacy are so grateful to each and every one of you. Together, we ARE making a difference.

THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts and paws.
Happy Holidays & A Joyous New Year!
